Office Administrator, Peggy D. Plyler joined Benbow and Martin Law Firm in September, 1999. She manages the firm's administrative, financial, and technology functions. She sees that our office operates efficiently on a day to day basics She helps with scheduling appointments, greets and speaks with clients on the telephone and in person.  Other areas of law she assists with are Traffic Offenses, Criminal law matters and small claims court.  In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science (General Office Technology) degree, Peggy also holds a diploma in Paralegal Studies.  She is a Public Notary for the State of North Carolina. She is a native of Statesville and is married to Phillip Plyler. Together, they have three children and four very active grandchildren.  Her favorite pastime is spending time with the grandkids, shopping with her daughters and going on rides with her husband to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.

Legal Assistant Jayme Lockyer joined Benbow and Martin law firm in October 2013. She primarily works with our estate planning clients and assists with traffic, criminal and domestic matters. Jayme schedules appointments and greet clients on the phone and in person. She is a notary for the State of North Carolina. Jayme is a student at Mitchell Community College majoring in Art. She enjoys reading, riding her bicycle on the New River trails, watching movies and eating cookies. She has a daughter attending NC State and a son with two adorable grandkids in California.

Dana H. Fowler

Jeannie Benbow

North Carolina Certified Paralegal, Dana H Fowler, joined Benbow and Martin law firm July1, 2019. She has 31 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in Statesville, North Carolina. Dana is knowledgeable in North Carolina Real Estate Regulations and guidelines, document preparation, RESPA rules, client intake and interviews, communication with buyers, sellers, realtors, attorneys, brokers and lenders.  She schedules for residential, commercial, farm use, equity line closings, proficient in the preparation of cash purchases, and able to facilitate REO transactions.  She also assists in responding to inquiries from borrowers, lenders and attorneys to resolve discrepancies. Dana is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal, Notary Public and  a recipient of the Strathomore’s Who’s Who Honor program.  She attended Mitchell Community College studying business and is a member of Cooking for Christ team. Dana is a native of Georgia who moved to Statesville in 1984 is married and has two sons.  Her free time is spent enjoying the family mini farm, hiking, kayaking, reading, painting, attending church and volunteering in the community.

Jeannie Benbow is a native of Iredell County. She joined Benbow and Martin law firm December 1st of 2019. Jeannie handles domestic, personal injury, and estate probate cases, in the office. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Less-McRae College and also a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, from Appalachian State University. She has formerly taught Criminal Justice classes at Wilkes Community College. Jeannie and her family are members of Western Avenue Baptist Church. Jeannie is married to David Benbow and together they both enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Belinda Anderson

Spanish Interpreter, Belinda Anderson joined Benbow and Martin in 2003.  She schedules appointments for the Hispanic clients and she and the attorney meet with the clients.  She translates documents and interprets for the clients.    On several occasions, she has interpreted during mediations and agreements.  She has also translated for the courts. She was born and raised in New York.  She and her husband, Jerry, moved to Statesville to serve as ordained ministers.  Although her ministry occupies most of her time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, catching and collecting butterflies.
