Office Administrator Peggy Plyler joined Benbow and Phillips Law Firm in September, 1999. She sees that our office operates efficiently, schedules appointments, greets and speaks with clients on the telephone and in person. She also manages the firm's financial and administrative functions. Peggy has an A.A.S. degree in General Office Technology, is a paralegal and also a notary for the State of North Carolina.  Other areas of law she assists with are Social Security Disability claims, Traffic Offenses and Criminal law matters.  She is a native of Statesville and is married to Phillip Plyler. They have three children.  She is active in church administration and is also an elder in the church she attends.  Her favorite pastime is enjoying a ride on the motorcycle to the mountains with her husband.
Legal Assistant Jayme Lockyer joined Benbow and Phillips law firm in October 2013. She primarily works with our personal injury clients and assists with traffic, criminal and domestic matters. Jayme schedules appointments and greet clients on the phone and in person. She is a notary for the State of North Carolina. Jayme is a student at Mitchell Community College majoring in Art. She enjoys reading, riding her bicycle on the New River trails, watching movies and eating cookies. She has a daughter attending NC State and a son with two adorable grandkids in California.

Legal Assistant, Stacy Johnson, joined Benbow and Phillips Law Firm in July of 2001. She works in the real estate department scheduling and closing bank loans such as residential home loans, equity lines and business loans. She also prepares deeds and other documents required in real estate transactions. She is a notary for the State of North Carolina. She is Richard Phillips secretary and she also assists in scheduling appointments, greeting and speaking with clients on the telephone and in person. Stacy has lived in Statesville all her life.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering in her church and shopping.
Paralegal, Amy Goodman, joined Benbow and Phillips Law firm in April, 2007. She handles all of the domestic cases here in the office.  She also handles civil cases which would include corporations and adoptions.  Other areas of law she assists in are estate planning, traffic and criminal law.  She meets with clients and interviews clients regarding their cases.  Amy also has experience in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation.  Amy has an AAS degree as a Paralegal and she is certified by the State Bar of North Carolina.  She is a notary for the State of North Carolina.  Amy has worked as a Paralegal since 1999.  She is a native of Statesville and is married and has one child.  Her favorite pass time is spending time with her family and camping.

Belinda Anderson

Spanish Interpreter, Belinda Anderson joined Benbow and Phillips in 2003.  She schedules appointments for the Hispanic clients and she and the attorney meet with the clients.  She translates documents and interprets for the clients.    On several occasions, she has interpreted during mediations and agreements.  She has also translated for the courts. She was born and raised in New York.  She and her husband, Jerry, moved to Statesville to serve as ordained ministers.  Although her ministry occupies most of her time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, catching and collecting butterflies.
